SourceVinson Lake is managed as a day-use site in the Merritt area, with the lake a short walk below the parking. Anything you want on the water, canoe or small boat, gets carried down by hand.
The gravel road ends at the parking area, and there is one outhouse, no tables and no fire rings. It is set up for a day of fishing rather than a night out, so plan around that.
Bankeir is about 17 km away, and the Elkhart Gas Station, about 12 km out, is the nearest fuel. The lake itself is right below, roughly 0.2 km from the site.
