About this site
SourceMcGillivray Lake West gives anglers a swampy, productive lake close to Sun Peaks, and fish here can run big despite the attention the place gets. Check the current fishing restrictions before you go, because this lake carries some.
The site is user-maintained with 3 first come, first served spots and a boat launch, reached on gravel. Expect the basics and nothing more.
Sun Peaks is about 4 km away, so the village and its 44-trail bike park make for an easy errand or an easy afternoon. The nearest pumps are about 11 km out. Dennis Lake is roughly 4 km if you want to fish somewhere quieter.
