About this site
SourceAllan Lake Recreation Site sits up on the Bonaparte plateau near Barriere, high enough that people drive up here when the valley bottom gets hot. Fishing is the main event, from shore or from a boat.
Camping is 6 sites, first come, first served, reached on gravel, with a launch on the lake. It falls under the Forest Recreation Regulations, so pack out everything you carry in and leave the pad clean for whoever follows.
Barriere is about 15 km back down the hill for groceries, and there is a Chevron about the same distance, so fill up on the way through. Boulanger Lake is a little over 2 km away.
