About this site
SourceSkwaam Bay sits on the western shore of Adams Lake, about midway up it, near Barriere. Swimming and fishing from the shore are the reasons to come, and the access road switchbacks steeply down to reach the site.
Four sites, first come, first served, with no holding or reserving of spots. Dogs stay leashed at all times, as at every Kamloops-area recreation site.
Squaam 2 is about 0.6 km away, but the nearest fuel is an Esso about 26 km off, so handle gas before you start down the switchbacks. Johnson Lake is about 10 km away, and Sun Peaks Bike Park, about 24 km out, has 44 trails.
