About this site
SourceFive sites on a semi-open bench overlooking the southwest end of Surprise Lake, in the Atlin area. Anglers use the lake, and the outlook down it is the other reason to stop.
Camping is first come, first served with gravel access, and it is a mid-sized site rather than a single pullout.
A cluster of local landmarks sits within reach: Boulder Dam about 5 km away, the Dredge and Flume about 9 km, and Discovery about the same. The Ruby Mountain trailhead is about 9 km out and Ruby Creek about 10 km. Surprise, the closest settlement, is 0.6 km from camp.
