SourceArden Creek is a treed site on the shore of the Alberni Inlet, close to Port Alberni and not built for big rigs. The cobble beach is the reason to bother: turn a few rocks over and there is a lot of marine life going about its business underneath.
Of the 6 pads, 4 take a vehicle and 2 are walk-in. Everything is first come, first served on gravel, and motorhomes should look elsewhere. Fishing is the other draw.
Port Alberni is about 10 km back, so provisioning is not a problem. The Alberni Inlet trailhead is about 2 km from camp, the Funship riding area about 10 km, and Disappearing Lake about 7 km.
