About this site

Source

Named for the logging camp that once stood here, Camp 5 is a shaded site in alder woods on the Sayward Forest Canoe Route near Campbell River. Paddlers stop between lakes, anglers stop to fish.

Five sites, first come, first served, on gravel access, with a boat launch for the canoe route. The site is user-maintained.

Duncan Bay and the Gas n Go are both about 23 km out, which makes this a top-up-on-the-way-in kind of stop. Gray Lake is about 3 km off, the Mohun Creek trail to Trout Creek Falls about 12 km, and Campbell River's 277 mountain bike trails about 24 km.
