About this site
SourceTwo kilometres of sand at Parksville is what Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park is built around, with old-growth woodland behind the campsites and every site a five-minute walk from the water. At low tide the ocean pulls back almost a kilometre and leaves a flat to walk out on.
There are 250 sites, some reservable and the rest first come, first served, on paved roads, with fire pits, pit toilets and drinking water. Swimming, fishing, hiking and biking are all here, and the day-use area is large. Birders come for the seabirds that gather in spring.
Parksville is about 3 km away with fuel closer at about 1.6 km. The area's 142 mountain bike trails start about 2.2 km from camp, and Enos Lake is about 9.3 km out.
