About this site

Source

A small park of 3.6 hectares, Stemwinder is a pine-dotted camping area beside the Similkameen River just off Highway 3 near Hedley. Anglers work the rocky shoreline, and at that size there is never far to walk to the water.

There are 27 sites, some reservable and some first come, first served, with paved access, pit toilets, potable water and fire pits. It works as an overnight on a Highway 3 trip or as a base for a few days.

Hedley covers both supplies and fuel at about 4.6 km. The Nickel Plate cross-country ski trails are about 13 km away and Wolfe Lake about 15 km.
