About this site
SourceThe Stampede Campground sits inside Williams Lake, about 0.8 km from town and 0.3 km from a Sun Valley station. It is set up for people who want a real shower and a power hookup: potable water, a dump station, pit toilets and wifi are all here, the roads through are paved, and there is lake access at the edge.
The reason to stay in town rather than out of it is the riding. Williams Lake carries 173 trails and the nearest start is about 0.9 km from camp, so a lap does not need the vehicle.
The Williams Lake River Valley is about 9 km off, and the Bull Mountain Ski Trail roughly 13 km away.
