About this site
SourceThe group site sits inside Golden Ears Park, one of the largest parks in B.C., in the Maple Ridge area. Alouette Lake, about 4.2 km off, handles swimming, windsurfing, water-skiing, canoeing and fishing, and the forest around camp is a good example of B.C.'s coastal western hemlock, with rugged mountain backcountry behind it.
Between them the park's three campgrounds list 435 sites on paved roads, with pit toilets, potable water and fire pits, plus a boat launch, hiking, biking and horseback-riding trails. Check the main Golden Ears listing for the campground details rather than working from this entry alone.
Stave Falls and its Esso are both about 13 km away for supplies and fuel, so a run to town is quick. The Reservoir Trail trailhead is a similar distance out.
