SourceSalmon Beach is the closest community to Mussel Beach Campground at about 2.5 km, and the access is paved the whole way. It is a paid campground in the Ucluelet area.
Fuel is about 7.5 km off, so top up on the way in rather than partway through the week. Mercer Lake is about 5.5 km away if you want a lake for the afternoon.
The Lighthouse Loop on the Wild Pacific Trail starts about 6.3 km from camp, and the Lost Shoe walk in the forest trail is about 11 km out.
