About this site
SourceGaribaldi Provincial Park is the Coast Mountains at their most photographed: 64 km north of Vancouver, anchored by the 2,678 m peak of Mount Garibaldi and by Garibaldi Lake, held in place by The Barrier, a 9,000-year-old lava dam over 1.6 km wide and 300 m thick.
Camping here runs on reservations. More than 90 km of established trails carry hikers to the lake, the meadows and the viewpoints, with fishing and swimming for the warm days; it is a year-round park, busy in every season.
Services sit back on the highway corridor: the nearest listed fuel is about 27 km, and Whistler Mountain Bike Park about 26 km, so provision before the trailhead.
