SourceLittle Qualicum Falls Provincial Park straddles the Little Qualicum River on central Vancouver Island and takes in the whole southern shore of Cameron Lake. The waterfalls are the reason to come: they drop through a rocky gorge in deep forest with steep peaks behind, and it is rightly counted among the prettiest parks in the area.
About 104 sites are listed, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved access, with pit toilets, potable water and fire pits. Swimming, fishing, hiking, biking and a boat launch are all on hand, and the CPR trailhead starts about a kilometre from camp.
Meadowood is about 5 km away and the nearest listed fuel about 9 km, so one stop on the way in covers the trip.
