SourceFishing is the whole point at French Lake South, out in the Interlakes area off Highway 24. It draws anglers for the day, and the lake carries engine power restrictions for boats, so read the rules before you launch.
The site lists a single campsite, first come, first served. Getting in wants four-wheel drive and there is no room for trailers, so plan the vehicle around that.
Deka Lake is about 6 km away, with the nearest fuel about 11 km on at the Interlakes market, so top up on the way through. Sulphurous Lake sits about 6 km off, Hathaway Lake about 9 km, and the Bridge Lake ice caves parking lot about 11 km.
