SourceHorsefly Lake has exactly one recreation site, and Prairie Creek is it, which makes this the cheap way onto a big lake. Three of the sites are down at lake level and the rest are on the bench above, so you can choose water access or a bit of separation. Fishing and swimming both happen here.
Six sites in all, first come, first served, on gravel. The launch takes trailered boats, though turn-around room is tight, so back in with care and leave the longest rig at home.
Black Creek is about 16 km away and the nearest fuel, a Race Trac, roughly 31 km, so top up before the last stretch. Melissa Lake is about 4 km from camp.
