About this site
SourceNo gas motors on Hammer Lake. Power-driven vessels are prohibited under federal vessel restrictions and only electric motors are allowed, which makes for a quiet lake and a fair reason to bring the canoe. It sits west of Bonaparte Lake in the 100 Mile House area.
There are 11 sites, first come, first served, with a boat launch and gravel access. Fishing is the main activity, and the motor rule keeps the noise down while you do it.
Come provisioned. Bridge Lake is about 27 km away and the nearest fuel about 37 km out, so this is not a place to arrive on a quarter tank.
