About this site

Source

Getting to Maloney Lake is most of the story. The trail in starts at the end of a small road in the middle of a cutblock, it is not signed, and it has not been maintained in some time, so you follow orange markers on trees along the bottom of the cutblock. The lake is about 0.1 km from the site, and fishing is the reason to make the walk.

The campsite is first come, first served, with gravel road access to the start of the trail. Come self-sufficient and comfortable with a map.

Carmi, about 17 km away, is the nearest town, and fuel at Sun Valley is roughly 19 km out, so fill up before you turn off. Bike Big White and its 25 trails sit about 17 km away.
