About this site
SourceA cartop launch, 6 campsites and a lake whose level moves around: that is Allendale Lake, in the hills near Okanagan Falls. A water licence draws the lake down, so the shoreline you find may not be the one you remember.
The sites are first come, first served on gravel, and the site is user-maintained, which means whoever is there is the maintenance crew. Fishing and paddling are what people come for.
Okanagan Falls is about 18 km away for supplies and the Esso is the same distance, so top up in town rather than counting on anything closer. Idleback Lake is about 14 km off, and Penticton, with 241 mountain bike trails, is about 23 km.
