About this site

Source

Skwellepil Creek is a wilderness site now, which means it stays open to the public but nobody maintains it. Chehalis Lake is about 1.3 km away for swimming and fishing, and that is why people still make the trip.

Getting in needs a high clearance 4x4. Three large waterbars have been cut into the entrance road, and they are not something a low vehicle clears. Camping is first come, first served, with room for about 10 parties and no services at all, so plan to pack out everything.

Fas Gas is about 18 km away and Sts'a'í:les / Sts'ailes about 19 km, so sort fuel and food before the turnoff. Harrison Hot Springs is roughly 23 km out if a soak sounds good on the way home.
