About this site

Source

Retreating glaciers carved the Skagit Valley, and the park inside it keeps a wilderness feel, with 50 km of trail and fishing in the river. It is in the Cascades and the way in is a forest service road, so give yourself extra time on the drive.

There are 142 sites, some reservable and some first come, first served, with fire pits, pit toilets and drinking water. Swimming, hiking, biking and a boat launch are all part of the park.

Sunshine Valley is the nearest town at about 16 km, and the closest fuel is farther out at about 32 km, so plan the trip around one big shop rather than daily runs. Clerf Lake is about 9.9 km away.
